I recently converted my rear blinkers to amber to comply with German regulations. I did this by replacing the back-up lights with amber bulbs and connecting these to the blinker circuit. The blinkers work fine, however, they also come on when I apply the brakes. Anyone know how to solve this problem? Is there a fuse or relay that can be removed or must I cut the connection between the brake switch and the blinkers? The wiring diagram is very poor (compared to Chevy or Ford) and I have been unable to determine where this wire is located.

Any help would be appreciated.

the wires that run to the brake lines need to be disconnected from the "turn signal".

if they are not connected, it sounds like something is sharing power, not sure how to stop it...

I'm not an expert, I did the rear blinker mod but that's it..

Our mod makes both brake lights blink with a turn signal. (not just the outside one)
