Okay I finally got my Hawaii insurance card from USAA, and now Im trying to get my vehicle inspection done. I was to a place that I thought would be a good for this at a local 76 gas station, well the lady said that i tint was too dark on my wife's car even though the tint is over 5 years old. The messed up thing was, there was a Nissan Armada parked right next to me with tint which looked to be at least to be 10%all around, and Ive seen vehicles around the island with tint darker than mine. Whats up with the laws around here, or where can i go to "PASS" my inspection?

yo....Alpha!! Do I know you???
HA!
you will have a hard time finding a shop to pass you here. unless you know someone who can get you a safety check, i suggest just stripping the tint off and tint it with legal 35% tint. oh and i believe if you get cited for window tint, the last time i checked it was a 100$ PER window. so you could possibly be getting a 500$ fine.
Thanks guys, well I stripped the tint off my wifes car yesterday which wasnt hard as I thought it would be but so I guess, I will have suffer through the pain of doing to my charger as well when it gets here.. :( but hey next years inspection maybe i will find the "RIGHT GUY";) to take my car to for inspections.LOL
Well, the first place that I took it too, they wouldnt even do the inspection. The lady that was doing inspections in Waipahu, just looked at the car and said it was too dark. My wifes car hasnt been tinted in at least 4 years, it was already turning purple. Needless to say Im not looking forward to removing the tint on my car when it gets here. Maybe I will have to get it tinted once a year just to pass inspections.
