I just installed my new Ram Air Hood this weekend after 8 long weeks of anticipation. The air filter kit will be here tomorrow and I will tackle that next. The hood arrived in near perfect condition. There was a small crack in the clear coat on the front driver's side. The hood went on with ease, but aligning it is another story. The front corners peak up above the fenders and it's not touching the stops. Any tips on adjusting the hood/fenders?

Other than that it looks great...definitely beefs up the front end. Pictures to follow shortly...

One bone of contention - the windshield washer nozzle kit did not come with the nuts. My boyfriend had to run to Advance Auto to get a new kit...$17 bucks later we could move on with the install.

The rk sits high in the front also. didn't need the nozzle kit, used off of old hood. Wish me luck changing the wipers, the hood comes right up over them. Looks real good though. Check out Bruce willis post on ext mods.

I just installed mine right now. i have the exact same problem. I can't get it adjusted to where the front goes low enough to line up and I have to really push down hard to get it to close all the way.

Help!!!!

You will probably need to shave the hood latch bolt holes a little to get the latch to rest a little lower than it will with factory setting to accomodate the the RKSport hood. I have the same hood and had to do this to get the front of the hood to sit flush with the front bumper. It took me about 15 minutes to complete this task - not hard at all.

Ram Air Install

I adjusted the hood latch down and it helped the alignment some. Loosen the bolts and the latch should slide right down.

I had to use a bunch of washers on the hood latch so it finally sat right. a couple for each bolt on the hood latch should be good

Ram Air Install Pics - Finally!

Sorry it took so long - here are the pics of the new Ram Air Hood. I got the air kit on Monday, but I am not happy at all with the air box. It looks like a black plastic garbage can...cheap! My head wrench is painting it to match the body. If I'm going to lift the girl's shirt up, I want there to be something nice to look at!
