I have a 2011 Charger with the base radio system. Occasionally when I start the car the volume is maxed outy and resets bass, midrange and treble. Stealership has no clue. Anyone else have this problem?

I've had two Chargers, and I've seen this happen on both. I suspect it's a random bug in the software that Chrysler hasn't figured out. I think it may have something to do with periodic Sirius updates, but it's difficult to diagnose because it happens so infrequently.

On my newest car, it's happened twice in the four months I've had it. I thing that for both times it happened, I was parked deep inside a parking garage. Sirius is frequently chatting with our cars as they sleep, so maybe a weak signal can cause occasional hiccups.

Fortunately, radio settings weren't lost.

Edit: I see you have the base system, so maybe Sirius isn't the trouble after all. Sorry for throwing out worthless information!

Thanks for the info guys. I don't know if the TSB has been applied. The dealership doesn't have the best service dept or the sharpest techs. I will bring it to their attention when I go in for my next oil change. Not my choice of place to go but government contracts dictate where I go for oil change.
