It isn't so much of a problem, as much as I need advice for a couple of jobs im gonna do to my Charger SE 2008. Me and the family are gonna make a trip to Disney World andI want the trip to be as comfortable as possible. I have to replace the worn car lot tires, and maybe even get a set of rims(money permitting). But the car's suspension is really hard or bad, I can't tell, and when the brakes are applied the braking action is weak, sounds like grinding, and when wet has absolutly no braking power. I want to get new brake pads, rotors, and shocks/struts. But I am limited to 300 dollarsso cheap but good products is what im looking for, I'm 18 with no income, so what seems like the necessity or even the problem if im missing it. You guys have been doing this much longer than me. Thanks in advance

Maybe whoever is paying for your car could pay for this as well..
how do you know he isnt...

and back on topic, I would do the brakes first are you gonna be doing them yourself or have a shop do them its going to make a big difference in cost with labor and all. I would have the car looked at first of all, maybe you can get away with just resurfacing the rotors and replacing just the pads. as far as shocks and struts do some shopping around see if anyone has some for sale on the forums maybe you can score some cheap from someone that just upgraded their suspension.

If you're hearing grinding when you brake and sometimes don't have sufficient stopping power it sounds like the pads are worn out. R1concepts usually has good prices on a variety of pads; give Steven a call (888-712-6623) to see what he recommends.

If the rotors have never been resurfaced you can have that done rather than replacing the rotors. Getting them resurfaced (machined/turned/whatever you want to call it) should be pretty cheap.

We probably need more info on the suspension problems - what are the symptoms, more specifically than "really hard or bad?"
