Im a volunteer fireman in my town and ive seen the light systems on the police charger amd think they look great..Anyone here know if the same lighting is available for purchase anywhere? Anyone else do this at all?
Hello USMC PETE
Im an emergency equipment installer in Fredericksburg, VA.
The shop I work for sells emergency equip from many manufacturers.
RScottyL gave you some good leads. All of his examples are distributors, not the direct manufacturer, except Code3pse.
My Opinion: Adamson Industries is way overpriced, Galls is a little also. Code 3 has some new products that are pretty bright, but history has proven their quality is left to be desired. But Sirennet is really nice, they sell alot of products, both good and bad, and they have specials deals pretty often.
Some assistance I can provide is
www.speedtechlights.com A company I am very impressed with, I am actually considering some of there products for my Charger.
www.whackerusa.com Seems like good quality, but I have not used them before. Would be interested to learn.
www.swps.com Another reference, but alot like Galls (goods and bads).
My shop: Communication Specialists, Inc. (540) 373-0778 ask for Dale Scott.
We sell anything and everything. You can talk about what you'd like to do and he can come up with some ideas to help you. Also, we have an installations dept, but being Charger palls, I can assist you...but that whole PA-VA thing... :beerchug:
There are shops around that do this. One idea, investigate where you fire dept gets the radios, lights, sirens, etc installed in the apparatus. Talk to the fleet manager for your local PD dept too.
Good luck, post some pics when you figure it out :bigthumb:
