My friend just lost his wife and little girl in a car accident last night!

I remember walking with this little girl a few months ago.

PLEASE just enjoy every min you have with your Family!!!!

I’ll leave you with a poem from the book that is a good reminder to live life to the fullest by enjoying what we do and those around us………

"The Dash" by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end
He noted that first came her date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years. (1834 – 1998)
For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters most is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’s true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy’s being read
With your life’s actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Have a great day and life, and try to make a positive impact on someone.

Hope all is well with you.

I hugged my daughter tonight and shed a year after reading this. My heart goes out to that family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to your friend and his family and you of course. Just be there for him, I'm sure he will need your help to get through this.
I lost my brother when I was 18 and he was just 21, it can happen, tomorrow is not always something you'll have with everyone so enjoy today.

I hug my boys and wife many times each day. Especially before I, or they leave to go anywhere. I'll be praying for you friend. He's living the nightmare every parent fears.

My mom and dad religeously watch me as I leave the house. You never know what's in store tomorrow. My heart goes out to him.

Sometimes it's hard to find the right words to offer someone in a time like this. As a parent myself, I really can't imagine living that nightmare. My heart and prayers go out to him.
