Curious if it’s worth changing my tires from 235/55/18 up to 245/55/18 or 255/55/18? My goal is more rubber on the road without losing much handling. Should I just stick with the 235? Or is going up a good idea? Also what tire brands do you guys recommend? Spring and summer around the corner and I’m down in Louisiana. 2016 Sxt Charger 18 inch aluminum wheels.

increasing tire width will give you more road contact but not sure how much increased handling would be. l do like the look of wider tires on a charger. just going up in width will increase tire diameter and change the speedo reading, not much but it will, another factor to consider before increasing the tire size is your actual rim width to make sure its capable of handling the new size. l would recommend a 265/50R18 if your wheel can handle it and this would keep the speedo pretty accurate....

What size wheels do you have? I am going to presume you have 18 x 7.5 wheels on your car and that can safely handle 235 wide tires. I would personally not venture beyond 345 wide tires.
