Looking for any and all tips, tools, and etc. I could use in order to change all 24 rocker arms on 16 dodge charger sxt. Getting strong tick from passenger side of engine. Figured if I change that one I should probably change them all. What do you guys think? What tools should I invest in first? How many hours should I set aside? Any other maintenance I should take care of now @130,000 miles? I’m now the 3rd owner(Prev was mom). My 2013 MKZ died and mom got some new, so I decided to take over the car note on the 2016charger. Going to be changing rear diff fluid also royal purple still quality? As for oil, just ran some fresh pennzoil platinum high mileage 5w20. If anything in store is better let me know! Not a big fan of waiting for shipping! Sorry for the long post! Appreciate any and all information! (P.S dodge is sad for letting my 3.7 MKZ be faster than this thing but NO V6 SLANDER TOLERATED! Not tryna be the fastest, but coming from fwd I definitely plan to slide around my fair share of corners!)

Some may disagree, but there is no need to change all of the rocker arms. If you were to take it in, they would only replace the bad ones. But, if you have them and want to, I guess why not?
I am on my second 3.6L Charger, putting a lot of miles on both, quickly.
My 2015 developed the tick around 100k miles, fortunately I had bought an extended warranty that covered it. My 2019 is almost to 165k miles, no problem. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic, always.
There really hasn’t been in my experience much to worry about with either of them. Other than the plastic oil filter housing which can and will crack eventually from over torquing the filter or just old age and exposure to engine heat. The leak usually shows up in the middle of the car, not where one would expect an oil leak.
Otherwise they both were and have been pretty solid and dependable cars/engines. And I honestly drive the hell out of it.
Just keep up on the maintenance and maybe upgrade your brakes.

You can relearn your throttle to factory specs, that may help with the “slow” aspect that you mentioned. It probably learned to shift based on your mother’s driving and that’s why it feels the way it does. They are by no means a HEMI, but They’re not slow.

Oh, In a lot of the older models, 2016 and older I believe, there was an issue with the door panels and center console separating. My 15 did it as well, there are a few that just reglued them and I’ve read where some stapled them back. There are a few hundred threads about it on here. Just search door panels.

Just wanted to update this post. About 1200 miles into my first run of Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage Full Syn 5w-20 with a Mopar oil filter, the tick went away. Literally. Don’t hear it at idle or during acceleration, no matter oil temp or pressure. Also been running 93 octane. Ran the oil about 7000 miles and tick did not return. Been using it since. I do have the leaking oil filter housing so I check it regularly but nothing too bad just can make a mess where you park. The throttle relearn mentioned by @Rhill1124 makes a difference for sure. Car has been performing well at 130,000plus miles. Good oil and good gas and she’s good to go for me. @Kaspersh06 Tinting windows and changing rear diff fluid today (03/01) and she’ll be ready for spring lol
