IMO, there’s another HUGE difference, longevity.

I’ve mentioned before that my headlights are on for a daily average of 7-8 hours, every day.
Two different Chargers (my 15 and my 19), I was changing the OEM’s about every two months, alternating. One would burn out then two months later the other went out and so on. I’ve been running the same set of Sylvania for a year now, no issues.
That, if no other reason, is enough for me. Bonus is they are brighter.

When looking for your own car, I got mine at AutoZone as well. It’s not just whiter, their brighter.
They have been invaluable on summer of the roads I drive on.
not taking away from the SilverStar’s, they are very good. But they were my first attempt before the LED’s. It all comes down to your use and what you’re looking for.

My hands must be just small enough. (Go ahead with the jokes)
I’ve always done it from the top. Hurts like hell, but I’m not into going through the wheel well if I can avoid it.

Prior to my switch to the LED’s, I was changing them so often that I had it down to 5-10 minute job.
Locking collars? Is that prior to the 15 body change? I don’t have any of those.

Wow, now that looks like one hell of an improvement! All I have are OEMs on my 2020 Charger. Even when hitting the high beams, it's not brighter, it just shines higher which doesn't help much. What is it that your using, how long do they last and are they hard to install?
I just passed a year. They install pretty much like the OEM bulb, except that they have fans on them. Everything tucks nicely into the headlight area under the dust cap. Nothing else is needed. No flicker either.

You can only adjust vertically, not horizontal.
If they are out of whack, try reseating them. Basically take them out and reinstall. You may not have all of the tabs in correctly which would cause them to point in those directions.
Also, if these are the SilverStars, that should be it. If you’ve gotten the LED’s you need to make sure that they are both installed with the “Dark line” going 3 o’clock to 9 o’clock.

My wife has HID and I have the LED (as you know) no problem in the rain. The reflection that you’re talking about comes more from the angle, just don’t turn on the highbeams in those situations.

Unfortunately, I did it often enough before that taking the intake out seems fairly quick and easy. I do it with my Leatherman, it’s actually a Gerber.

Try adjusting (twisting) the bulb while it’s on so that you can watch the beam. That’s how I finally got it.
But I also have to say that I doubt that you ever get it perfectly straight, you can get close, but not perfect.

If I’ve learned anything about you, Mantis, I can imagine you out there with a ruler.
That’s not meant as a dig, I just know from reading your posts how particular you are, that’s a good thing. But it can also drive you crazy.

At the beginning of this thread I was thinking about changing my OEM standard bulbs with the brighter ones shown… At the end of the thread I’m thinking maybe not until I am on vacation and have time to spend, sounds like a PITA.
It’s not that bad, really.

I'm getting so good at pulling my front nose off I can have the whole thing off in 15 min lol. It's coming off again as soon as I get a break in the weather. Water pump time.
You have to take the nose off to do your water pump?
Is that because of all your mods or just the difference between the V8 and V6?

Yo man, EFF these headlights. I have reseated them like 4 times now and I can't get the pattern correct. They should install only one way but they allow a few different points of install. I just want it to look stock.

I didn't have all these issues with the Durango, which had HID's. I even had to work through the fender wells which sucks and was way harder to do than the Charger is. But for whatever reason I can't get them right. I must be old, lost my touch something but I throw the towel at them. They look how they look.
Sorry to hear that, I wish I was closer, I would try to help you with it. They are pretty nice if you can get them lined up correctly. I didn’t have any issues with it.

Here’s a link for others that don’t know the difference:

After that I'm done. I'm so sick of messing with it. I can't believe it's not just right when you install them.
I installed both mine and my son’s, they both went in fine.
The only issue that I had with mine was that I didn’t initially have the “line” going 3 to 9 o’clock. After that, perfect.
If it’s spraying light, if I’m understanding correctly, it sounds like it isn’t completely seated.

That’s definitely not fully seated, or the bulb itself is bad.

I can't seem to get it right. What exactly are you seeing and what would you do to fix it? Do you think either side is right?
For what you’re working with (LED), the passenger side looks correct.
The driver side almost looks like it is off center, with the beam bouncing off the side of the housing, if that makes sense. At this point, I’m thinking that you have a defective bulb.
I know this going to make you cringe, but have you thought about changing the bulbs with each other? Switching them.,
