I sent all sunday trying to change my oil pressure sensor. It should have taken at the most 1-1.5 hrs.

I couldn't get the sensor out. I even went and bought an oil pressure sensor socket. It's 1 1/16" and fits over the new sensor but I could not get it on the old one. I didn't remove the alternator just the belt but that was enough to get the connector off and look around with a mirror/light.

Is there something else I can try? A 1 1/16" socket should fit right?

I'm looking through some pictures on the lx forum how to. I think the oil pressure socket might be my problem. The socket has rounded corners and it looks like the stock sensor has sharp corners. That would keep the socket from going on.

I'll take it back tomorrow and grab a normal socket.

The oil pressure socket should work. You may need to rotate it till it lands correctly.
