What's the torque for the oil filter? I've tightened it up nice but dont want to over torque it as its easy to do with a 1/2 ratchet

I know the oil drain plug is 20 foot pounds

Like you said, 20 foot pounds for the 13 mm pan bolt. The filter housing uses a 24mm hex socket and is 18 ft lbs for that. Generally on our two Pentastars I do hand tight and then snug it up to feel. ;)

One question and maybe I never noticed or looked...oil pressure.....when I first start the car and maybe for a few miles after it stays in the 90 psi range....is this normal? After a few miles it goes down to the low 40s where it seems to stay

I would. Don't want to crack the housing or the threads. God help you if you crack the receiver!

Remember that you have a variable pressure oil pump in your 3.6L. You will see it run up from idle and then back off quickly after you get going.

We typically see it at the 45 to 52 range on steady state.....but that is with our 8.5w32 HP QuantumBlue.;)

Ok good to know....I get nervous after first change on a new vehicle sometimes....the top end has new popping noise that wasn't there until I undid filter totally from 30 pounds (lifted if out a bit) and reset to 18 pounds. Hope that didn't mess anything up

I don't think so. Watch the oil pressure and watch for any leaks. Between the two you should be good.

My wife's last 2 changes on her Pentastar have been 12,748 miles and 14,957 miles on 1 change. We changed it at 2,000 miles initially and then 10,000.

QuantumBlue is so much better than off the shelf oil you can buy!:beerchug:
