Doesn't a 24mm socket work?

I know that the Mobil One and the K&N are supposed to able to be done with a socket, but I never found it very usable. And realistically, you should only ever have to use a filter wrench once on any vehicle, because being a good mechanic, you never put one on more than hand tight :)

this is the only one I have, have had it for maybe 18-20 years, and it's very flexible, between u-joints and extensions, you can get at almost any filter out there.

15/16 Socket for Canister Removal

I just happened to have a 15/16 on a 1/2 drive socket laying around. That's what I use to remove the canister. Just use to ratchet to get it started then I'll take over by hand. Remember to keep in mind plastic threads...
