Everyone,

Long story short, I mentioned a 99 Lightning in my previous post(s). As it stands I run a small NoVA club for Lightnings (www.nvlope.org). Anyway, next Saturday we are having our monthly cruise out to the Burger King by Manassas Airport. Its a place where the street rods and cool cars hang out on friday and saturday nights. As I am waiting to pickup my Lightning (Oct 14th), I will be cruising in the Charger to next weekends event and thought maybe some of you guys/gals would like to check it out and meet up. The wife and I will be going and there should be about 5 Lightnings or so. Afterwards, we will head into Manassas to hOOters for some chow and chat. Last month we ended at Milwaukee Custard for some dessert. ;) Below are the details:

Event: NVLOPE Burger King Cruise

When: Saturday, October 8th

Where: Meet at the Arbys in Manassas, at the intersection of Rt 234 and Ballsford Road (The Walmart/Pepboys shopping center)

Time: 3PM Meet, 3:20PM Departure to Burger King

As previous years, we will meet up at the Arbys/PetCo parking lot at the Walmart/Pepboys shopping center in Manassas. Its right off Rt 66, at the 234 exit. Just go towards Manassas mall and you will see the Pepboys on your right, just after the BallsFord road intersection (light). Note, there is also a Bob Evans there.

We will meet up at 3PM and depart for Burger King at 3:20PM. If you have never been, the Burger King is by Manassas Airport. There should be a big selection of street rods, muscle cars, motorcycles etc.etc.. Its just a cool place to hang out for a while and see some old friends and some nice cars. Bring your camera if you like pics.

Again, we will be going to HOOters (based on our last visit) for some chicken wings and things. Be advised, come 1 hour early for Oysters.

If you have any questions or help getting there email me.

I hope to see you there at the NVLOPE BK Cruise!

Everyone,

Also, as a side note, if there is interest (6+ cars) in a local dyno day, I could probably make that happen easily too.

Just post some input and I will help as I can.

Man, I wish I would have known about this before I made plans (my daughter is in a parade on Saturday). I would love to be able to attend, but my little one trumps this. Maybe next time. Please be sure to let us know if/when there is something else going on.

Is this the same burger king that has a yellow baracuda fastback 383 forumla S? It has a peace sign on the rear window. There also should be a 71? challenger 440 6pack, a 1970 340 duster, or a mid 60's fury parked near it. If this is the same burger king, can someone post some pictures.

This is the Burger King that is very close to Manassas Airport. Not quite sure of the exact address. As far as cars that go there, here are some pics from past visits:

Just keep track on the weather, if its raining, the event may be a bust. Of course, you can always reach me via email [email protected]. If you email me, I can give you my cell just in case.

Charger, I will keep the events coming as we have open events. Some of our stuff is Lightning-centric, but other events could be open. I may have a few slots open in our Nov 5 Dyno Day and Social/BBQ. I'll keep you posted. Granted the shop we hold our dyno days at is a Ford specific shop, they dyno all makes of cars and offer Kick-a$$ deals on Magnaflow products!!

Well, I don't need no doppler radar to figure out that the rain is looking to ruin the weekend. I gotta guess that the event is looking like a wash.

Anyway, I will post the next one for November.

Stay tuned, as I may have some good dyno slots open for those in the NoVA area.
