First of all congrats on the birth of your baby!

Don't want to burst your bubble, but you might want to consider what I'm in the middle of before getting excited about next weekend.

I don't know where you live, but I am in Denver. From the time the car was built to its plant release in Windsor, it took about 5 days. It took nearly another 5 or 6 days for it to be trucked to the Detroit Jefferson facility for it to be loaded onto the rail car. This occurred on 09/07. Three days into the railcar trip and the last report I had was this morning it was still in Chicago. Estimated for it to unload here on the 14th and delivered to the dealer on the 22nd!? Still not sure why it take 8 days for the car to be trucked 30 miles across town. Hell, I could push the damned thing that far in 8 days. :( (Dealer is suppose to mark my car as a "hot delivery" so it should be delivered maybe by this Friday or Saturday.

So, this is my experience, your milage may vary. Thanks to autorail's reports I know whats going on, but it certainly seems that rail shipping is like a slow boat to china. Be patient Potsie, but don't hold your breath.

Thanks for the head's up... I'm in SC.. the car is being shipped about 3hrs west of Windsor... so there will be no rail's involved...

Like you said the only delay maybe in Windsor... hopefully the turn a round is not 5 days there....
