It's been a while since I've been on here, but I figured I'd update my wheel situation. Some of you may or may not remember, but I purchased a set of black Challenger Scat Pack forged wheels for my Charger a few months back. While I loved the wheels off the car, once I put them on I was not in love with them, so I sold the wheels and moved on looking for something else. I wanted to stick with a stock look but lighten up my wheels if I could, so it came down to either Challenger SRT8 Alcoas or 300 SRT8 Alcoas. I found a company on EBay that puts a PVD black chrome finish on the Challenger Alcoas and I really loved the look but they're a pretty penny. I kept my eyes peeled in the classified sections of various forums and as luck would have it found a guy selling a set with only 300 miles on them for a fair price. We made a deal and I put them on last week. I'm loving these wheels! They tire/wheel combo weighed in at 56.9lbs on my scale which should be a solid 5lb weight saving per wheel/tire. The tires are Goodyear F1 Supercars, not my first choice, but so far they're been fine. Anyway, enough of the chatter, here are the photos...

Thank you!
Nicely done!

Saw your update over at the Lxforums a few days back.

Hope you hold onto that one of kind Charger for as long as you can.

I saw one at the GTALx meet last years and it was amazing!
Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure if others were on LXforms, too. I plan on keeping this car for a long, long time. Even throwing around the idea of a supercharger down the road.

Yes. x2. Much better than the $$$ ones you tried earlier. :beerchug:
The wheel color and the blue on your car goes great together!
Thank you guys!

These photos were taken on a sunny day so they look almost like regular chrome, but on shady days they appear darker, almost a light gray and in a shadow they appear gloss black in certain spots. Pretty cool effect actually.

I love the way they look! I think I might keep an eye out for a pair of these for myself, they look really awesome. But around here, I'd definitely have to buy some locking nuts because my car would be up on bricks by the next morning. :notallthere:

Finally, someone got out of the "blackout" rut...looks fantastic!
Yep it was tempting and I've had black wheels in the past, but chrome/shiny wheels just seem to look better on the Charger IMO.
:crying:

I succumbed to it...
Lol it happens.

Thanks! Locking lugnuts are next on the list, although even that won't completely prevent someone who really wants them from getting them. Thankfully Sapphire is garaged so I only need to worry when I'm out and about, but Nashville's a pretty chill place.
