good start of a list so far. the predator is a hand held programmer. chips dont exists on these cars. you reprogram the ECU in most all cars 1996-2012+
Intakes....basically pick which ever you think looks pretty and run with it. theres not much difference between whats on the market. with exhaust, depending on where you live, stainless may be more advantageous than regular. obviously salted and snowy areas, stainless would have the advantage. best advice, get something made for your car. not just something off another car that was restrictive there and will be restrictive on yours. theres plenty of options out there from a rear end section kit from blastin bobs to a full cat back from zoomers, magnaflow, flowmaster, etc... personally i'd go with a kit. theres alot of exhaust places that will do a total hack job, so unless the place locally is credible, a kit will give you smooth mandrel bent exhaust, not exhaust with clamped and crimped pipes that flow worse than stock. mandrel bent pipes have their advantages by far. it took me a while to learn that lesson.
I'll ask the same thing i've always been asked....
what are YOUR plans to do with the car.????
Reason, there are so many that get new cars, regardless or make or model, and just add this or that, or which ever forum member says "you gotta add this!!!!"
and many of the times, its parts and wasted money NOT conductive to what THEIR goals really were, but to what the other forum members goals were.
If i were you, i'd take a few days, sit back and think about your plans for your car and what you eventually wanna do:
show car
drag racing
autoX
road course
efficient daily driver
etc...
all can be done, and dont let anyone on the forums deter you from making your car whatever you want it to be. over the last 130K+ in this car, i've had MANY road trips, road courses and a few autoX's that people on the forums questioned cause it wasnt a v8. F-em...Some of those same people still dont do jack with their cars but add $$$$ in new performance mods yearly, take pictures to post on here, and never have seen a track of any sort. they barely drive their cars at all to begin with even though its always mod after mod.
so mainly...have fun with your car, make it what you want it to be. its so much easier when you have a goal in thought, than just float through with no direction
