Having a new set of tires installed on a new 2023 Charger, Charger has the Blacktop Special edition pkg that has the Red Brembo brakes w/ 20 x 9 wheels on skinny looking 245/45R20 ... will be upgrading to 275/40R20 all around and going with Nitto Motivo's. upgrading to protect the rims from curb rash ... these tires look funny ... like they are stretched and don't fit the rim.

Yeah they almost do look too narrow for those wheels. That being said it will definitely look better with 275s.

Wait did Dodge change to Firestone Firehawk AS tires for 2023? I guess so... was it like that in 2022 too?
With the 20x9 you sure can go with 275/40/20, Dodge never put those on a 20x9 wheel from the factory, always stretch 245s. If you get a Scat with Dynamics (or a Hellcat) they come with 20x9.5 and 275s.

Firestone Firehawk GT tires ... they were also on the 2022 SXT and GT versions, not sure about the RT's and higher trims ....

Same tire that my son’s 2019 SXT Blacktop has and came with. He bought it used in 21, from a Dodge Dealership. Dealership has installed new tires prior to him buying it.
But here’s his sticker and picture of said tire, then replacement. I’m going to have to advise him of what you did.

Wow I didn't know they changed from Goodyear to Firestones. Now I'm gonna have to walk the lots of the local Dodge dealers and see what is coming on all the different trim levels.
The Goodyear's where good tires for handling braking road noise and even rain was fine but they just couldn't handle any of the power of the 392.They probably would have been better if they where a 275 size. I'm willing to bet the Firestones also would have been fine in a 275 size. They are also pretty good tires.

Just realize that the OP has 20x9 inch wheels that come with the Brembos and high performance suspension (SRT front spindles). No one advises folks to put a 275 tire on the 20x8 wheels especially with non SRT front spindles.
Oh, so more we’re discriminating our rims. 😞
Kidding, I understand what you’re saying. I didn’t catch that difference.
My 22 RT had the craptastic Goodyears on it when I got it new. Swapped them out with a set of Conti DWS 06+’s at about 5000 miles like I always do with my big Mopars. I went with a slightly larger size as well.
