im greg and i am the new owner of a 2012 charger SRT-8 super bee, lm loving the car so far, im new to fast cars but ive had fast bikes for years so im not that up on the car seen ,being here in texas everyone has a pick up and they all want to race especially the diesel pick ups, i guy here at work has a newer chevy duramax dually with mods and he said he'd be happy to kick my but. i have not raced yet but are these diesel trucks really that fast? also i'll post a pic as soon as i get it figured out.

Welcome to the forums nice superbee . And a stock truck is not going to be close to the srt8 butt a modified 1 can be made fast a lot of 1000 hp diesel trucks with gobs of torque. And anything can be made fast with money just depends how much money he has in his.

Don't sweat the "fast truck" crowd. I had a co-worker back in Memphis talking smack about how his F-150 Lightnin' with a pulley on the Supercharger could kick my stock SRT butt. We took it to the track and he lost...badly.

Some of the diesel trucks come from the factory with 850 ft lbs of torque, so they are fast up to about 80-90 mph. However diesel engines don't rev very high, and most and run out of gears quickly, so you'll usually be able to catch them....

Don't worry about the trucks...especially with your SRT8. They are fast and do have a lot of torque but like they said, gearing goes away really quick and diesels don't rev that high. Still they are nothing to sneeze at.

We work with a lot of the diesel tuner crowd providing them fuel and lubricants with some of them running 12s. Also we make fuel and oils for a lot of motorcycles and snow mobiles too!:beerchug:
