Good morning!
My fiance and I just took the plunge on a new 2014 Dodge Charger SXT Rallye!
We'll both be graduating from the University of Idaho in May and probably moving to Columbus, Ohio in June or July. She'll be going to vet school at Ohio State University. I've started job hunting in the area, and I shouldn't have too much difficulty securing something good with my degree in mechanical engineering.
We went for this Charger because of the decent amount of power it makes and the relatively good highway fuel mileage. I've never owned a vehicle newer than a 1997 Jeep Cherokee (which I still have), so this Charger is definitely an eye-opening experience for both of us. She wanted a 4-cylinder Honda or other econo-car, and I wanted a 5.7 R/T Challenger, so we settled a little bit closer to my side of the spectrum. I've always been a Mopar guy, and love the old 60s-70s rolling irons from a bygone age...
I've always loved working on cars, so I imagine you guys will see a lot of questions from me about what I can do with it and still keep the factory warranties. For example, I'd like to install the factory navigation unit, a cold air intake, and a decent exhaust that doesn't sound like a rice burner.
Well, that's all for now. If you have any questions, shoot! I know that I'll be doing plenty of reading and questioning, myself!
