Just moved up from an 05 Magnum R/T to a new 2014 Charger R/T and need to be able to pull my motorcycle trailer. While there are many trailer hitches available for this car none of them are truly hidden from view when not in use.

I had the Valley Stealth Trailer Hitch (p/n V81811) with Vertical Receiver on the Magnum and it was completely hidden when not in use. All the "hidden hitches" I can find for the 2014 are not only visible when not in use but they also can drag when going in and out of some driveways because they are several inches below the lower facia.

I have searched and searched (here and at Google) and it looks like this type of hitch is no longer available and Valley has stopped making them. Mopar even had one and it looks like they dropped it from their line. Draw-Tite has the Class I "Invisi-Hitch" but it won't fit the 14 Charger. I am gonna send them a note and see if they are planning a product for the 14 Charger and will post back here what I find.

I am bummed about this. If anyone knows of anything else regarding a truly hidden vertical hitch please post back! Thanks!!

Dodge Vertical Hitch for Sale (p/n 82213979AB)

Yes - Dodge did finally start producing the vertical hitch again! Mopar hitch p/n 82213979AB fits 2011 2012 2013 2014 Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, or Chrysler 300.

The vertical hitch is the best choice for these vehicles since you cannot tell there is a tow hitch when you remove the receiver! Plus there are no hitch parts that hang below the fascia to scrape, hit or drag when entering/exiting driveways and other similar inclines plus it does not change to the look of the vehicle at all when the vertical adapter is removed (removes in about 10 seconds).

Recently I ordered Mopar vertical hitch part number 82213979AB with the intention of installing it so I could pull my motorcycle trailer <<but>> unfortunately I had to sell my Charger when I changed jobs recently (had to get a truck) and I never had a chance to install it on my 2014 Charger R/T.

So if anyone wants a smoking deal on a brand spanking new (never installed) Mopar Vertical Hitch 82213979AB I'll sell it for $200 with free UPS Ground shipping. Comes with the factory instructions and all factory hardware. I paid $242.50 for the hitch and $33.28 shipping ($276). I can accept PayPal or a credit card. Shoot me a PM if interested.

The one referenced on eBay above is $258 plus shipping ($30 to $50) so about $288 - $308)

Does anyone have a clue if I would be able to get this to work on a 2008 Charger R/T? The mounting holes look like they are in the exact same spots. I'm in desperate need of a hitch for transporting bikes to and from our summer home.

I sure did but I was getting conflicting information. Some sites show that it fits and others that I have contacted say it will not fit. Was just wondering if anyone on here has tried installing it on a Charger pre-2011?

Any suggestions for my new 2018 Charger?
If you are looking for the vertical receiver hidden hitch? Mopar p/n 82213979AB does not fit your 2018. You should research a bit more or call a knowledgeable Dodge parts desk and ask them to research it for you. It may not even exist but who knows. It's the only hitch I would put on a Charger since it won't impact ground clearance or aesthetics.
