well my homies over at SCT came by my shop yesterday to offer to help me tune my 3.5, after my guys finalize my twin turbo setup in my new 08 charger. they dont currently offer anything for the the 3.5l, but since they have known us for many years, they are always willing to lend a helping hand to me when i have an out of the ordinary platform that im building up and needs a specialist to tune it precisely and to break down the codes in order to tune it properly. i guess they are gonna remap my ECU and PCM and all that other stuff and whatever else they and can do and see what they need to do with it... they have also tuned my older 98 chrysler cirrus in the past as well as my 05 4dr 2.7l stratus for me since i did the srt4 turboengine and tranny swap in the cirrus and then i couldnt get it to run right so they had to tune it properly for me after the build was complete and they also did a real nice sweet custom nitrous tune on my 4dr stratus sedan since im only spraying nitrous on that platform. they always try and take care of me.. they have also tuned all of our corvettes for us to in the past. a couple c5's and 2 brand new z06's.... afterall my dad is the sole owner of ARC Applied Racing Components and i am the sales manager and i try and run it to the point that i always take care of my loyal customers first and foremost and thus they also look out for me when the time calls for it. its great being a manufacturer and working with other manufacturers daily, such as SCT.... and sure, yeah a lot of folks dont like them simply because they are unfamiliar with them and what they do, but i tell you what---they have always tuned my rides to the fullest of their limitations and safely and reliably. hell after they spent only an hour with my 2004 F350 on the dyno, it immediately was able, and still is able to smoke all 4 tires off in the rear on my super turbo diesel dually = 4 tires smokin!!! sure, granted i also did upgrade the turbo with super huge one instead of the factory one. and to tell you the truth, my f350 produces more HP and torque than you SRT guys are making and the truck weighs just under 10k pounds, which is like 2 chargers... now thats a dually truck in my mind... she can blow the doors off my 3.5 thats for sure in a head to head race and even from a dead stop and go. she sure is one fast puppy and can even pull any of our trailers with ease without any sluggish at all no matter if they are empty or full.. even uphill or when she pulls one of our double stacker car haulers that we would normally only tow with one of our merc.benz powered freightliner toter homes... i think SCT rocks the block... they always take care of me and i thought i would give them a shout out on here since most of you folks only use diablos for tuning, but they do also support the hemi's, so nextime you might want to check them out and i can get them to actually produce a custom tune for you for cheap as well. a tune that actually performs a lot better than the diablos in my opinion.... but dont get me wrong, i love diablos too though and they also make a great product.. it just that i dont personally know them like i know the sct crew.... i can do this because i do have some sort of clout over at SCT because we do help manufacture most of all their EGT sensing probes and thermocouples for various platforms. and as you know, our egt probes cant be beat, as we make the best in the industry along with all of our nitrous components and widebands that we also manufacture. not even on our jet cars, that we use them in to test the temp of the flames, they cant even melt them... never ever... most other similar copycat brands that try to market stuff liek sours, well they end up having to be replaced after every run because of their cheap materials and workmanship. even on our top fuel nitro funny car, we can typically get about 25runs out of a set of our egt probes before we start to see false readings... and well, even with top dogs with racepaks probes, well they have to be thrown out after every other run.. LOL anyway -- anyway i just thought id share some new pics with you folks and to also let you in on whats in store for my 3.5 in teh very near future and how its about to blow you SRT boys out the water with my twins.. im shooting for around 550-600rwhp when under full boost... i want to push like 25lbs of boost.... and yes my custom forged wiseco pistons and connecting rods and other interanals have already been installed as of last week thanks to my master techs... im all giddy and cant wait for my techs to finish this project... it was suppossed to be done last december for the years annual PRI show in orlando. but i guess we will just have to reveal it at this years show since a lot of things had gotten put on hold for various reasons and the fact we also bought a new jet car this year so lots of man hours and money have been going into that lately. yet there are still lots of things left to on my charger though as it never ends as im sure you know how that is.. you know how it is, right?

and i and took these pics after we unhooked the matching SCT truck because we were going out to dinner and my truck was already hooked up to my trailer and all ready to the hual on up to the race up in rockingham NC this weekend and my jag XKR is in the dealers shop due to some supercharger issues thats covered under warranty and my charger was up on my lift trying to finish routing the final piping mock ups before we send them out to the chrome platers. but i will take a few more pics of the matching truck that we pimped out too.. it looks great on 22's with the big beefy meaty chunky tires and the full body vinyl wrap... looks mean as hell really when pulling their little ol'trailer and the truck sounds sick with its big upgraded turbo too... its only a 250, but i think they need a bigger one though. but that just my opinion...

oh and for those of you that think that my custom painted starlight metallic blue and cadillac pearl white car is a mustang, well sorry because its not... it just my "kinda slow" mid 10second lincoln mark vii. of course its nitrous injected too, of course since thats what we at ARC specialize in and it also has a freshly built 5.0 block of course with under 10k miles on the clock... its just a nice little street toy that i have owned for many years and i just enjoy tooling around town in it, even despite its 4mpgs.. i no longer race it or track it anymore either now that i have it bagged courtesy of my homies over at air ride technologies up in indy as a gift from the bossman about 2yrs ago... so i just mainly use it to cruise around town in like during the weekends and stuff and also to mess with the local speed demons that think there is no way a heavy azz lincoln can smoke them.. especially them mustang boys... ahahah as i pass them within seconds... other than that i just cruise around town in it.

Wow, that was a rambling post. lol I just got a SCT Xcal tuner for my truck. Maybe you can talk to the guys at SCT for me. There are some things that the Dakota guys would like to be able to adjust that SCT tuner for our trucks doesn't allow, or they haven't figured out yet.
