The difference in these shorts is supposed to be very small. The shorties are street legal, bolt directly to the existing cats... (I have Borla catbacks) and can't void the warranty, because the cats stay stock.... Nice grade of stainless and ceramic coating...can't wait to get them on......Go ManGo! said:

I've got the Gibson headers on my 300c. It was one of the test vehicles for them and have had them for about 2 1/2 months. The car will more than likely go to SEMA with them. They are CARB approved and yes there is a power diffrerence. I am still running the stock exhaust as Gibson will be releasing a cat back system for the LX platform. When it is ready to go I will up date the gains. As for short body, long tube, bottum line is if your in a state with strict smog laws it's not worth it to go long. The install on the headers is very difficult with little room to work. The gains are right at about 20hp. You will really like the gains you get from this mod, enjoy.

That's a great point. It all comes down to what do you want to accomplish. A full replacement would give the best performance. Of the systems that are out there I would say that the Borla would give you the sleeper. It's tame and at WOT they realize they just made a mistake. The Magnaflow would be my second choice. If I weren't involved with Gibson these would be my choices for sleeper. I've heard them all and have driven cars with Borla, Magnaflow, Zoomers and Flowmaster. As far as which would produce the most power 99% would not be able to take advantage of the true power, nor would we know the difference.
Would that be the system that Mopar has for their r/t exhaust ?? And that would probably include long-tube gibsons. Ya reckon that would give what I'm looking for ? Oh, and maybe hi-flow cats ?? The kind of performance that leaves the 'stang drivers looking at their gearshift knob to make sure they weren't in reverse ?? yee-hawwww :ninja:

The Mopar is made by Borla and Gibson only offers CARB approved short body headers. I think that a great system would be Gibson headers, Mopar or Borla exhaust and Magnafolw high flow cats. IMO that would be a great system, no worries with smog and give you a real nice sleeper.
Just got back from my Dodge dealer and they have an after-market specialist there that does special order stuff. They got a quote from an un-named speed shop that will do Flowmaster (wake the devil sound) or Magnaflow (is it morning yet sound) true-duals for about $678. Good deal ?? Also the Mopar system, is that the one they're offering for $425 ?? This plus the price of the headers and the hi-flow cats. BTW, can anybody give me a ballpark figure for the cats??? Lastly, I asked the aftermarket guy what this would do to my warranty. He's checking. I'd hate to spend $1,500 and wind up with no warranty. Whaddaya think professors ?????? 
I ordered the Mopar HP exhaust from my dealer to replace the original HP exhaust that came with my RT. The Mopar High Performance exhaust that fits the Charger is Mopar Part # P4510855. It is made by Borla and has the Borla stamping on the 5" chrome cans vs. the stock 3". It is Borla part # 140125. If you buy it through your dealer it has Mopar stamped on the mufflers, exact same exhaust as Borla. It lists for around $850 .. I paid $795 from my dealer. It is NOT the exhaust listed on Lee Auto Parts. That is the standard HP Mopar exhaust with the 3" cans and is about 30db quieter than the 140125 Borla. I think that exhaust lists for around $450.
OK. So if you had your druthers where would you class these three systems. Magnaflow, Flowmaster & Mopar ?? To go along with the Gibson headers and magnaflo hi-flow cats ?? I can maybe get an employee price on the Mopar. Not picky, just wanna do it right the first time around instead of slapping my forehead saying "I shoulda...."
I would get your employee pricing on the Mopar High Performance system. My system with the Gibson headers sounds ooooooo sooooo sweet and the performance is outstanding. I believe I'm now pushing about 400 HP. Gibson Headers, Jet Stage 1 Chip, Borla HP Exhaust, Mopar CAI .......hopster said:OK. So if you had your druthers where would you class these three systems.
