My charger got broken into for the second time in 4 months.
I need a 12 gauge pump action shotgun and an alarm. My charger got broken into for the second time in 4 months. Since I changed out my door handle, removing the driver door lock, this time they punched the trunk lock.
They took my car tool box and a flashlight and not sure what else, as I have a lot of junks in my trunk.
I disconected the trunk lock tonight, but now I cannot open my car if my battery dies. A while back, I did purchase a 12' choke cable for the old cars with manual chokes, that I planned to hook up to the trunk release so I can access the trunk in case my keyless entry failed. I guess now I have to hook it up, before something happens and I have to do something drastic to gain entry.
Not sure if I am going to remove the trunk lock totally and plug the hole with a large lag bolt or something similar or look at putting in a better lock, something like a star lock. Going to check out some lock places this weekend to see what options I have.
I am also thinking about re-wiring the trunk button in the car to a wire that is hot only when the key is in the ignition, this way, incase if someone breaks in the front, they cannot just push the button to open the trunk. I know they can access the trunk through the back seat, but the harder you make it, the more chance you have of the person not wanting to do it or them getting caught.
If we had laws like in Texas, I would stakeout my own car and shoot the criminals as they try to break in. :armed: Too bad too many liberals in Hawaii, protecting the criminals at the expense of the law abiding citizens.

Ok, I personally don't know if I could shoot someone or not. Never been in that situation hope I never am. But when you don't defend your property you surrender your property rights. The "Let someone else take out the trash" mentality is what keeps drug houses opened in neighborhoods all over America. Had someone break into my car thursday night / friday morning. I called the cops and they got a couple good prints off the CD's that the thief took out of my armrest, but didnt take out of the car. (Dumb Thief) Do I expect anyone to get caught?? NO. Am I glad the cops got prints? Sure. Now I need to know what to do with the drivers door lock that they popped out. The funny part is the lock still works. Any Ideas??

This past Saturday, I took out my trunk lock and put in a 1/2" x 1 1/2" carriage bolt that I painted black with Plastic dip paint. Now no more locks to get punched. Going to have an alarm installed this coming weekend if everything works out right.
Why do these things happen??? Never had a problem with my Altima SE. No one even dinged my doors.

I loved the look and feel of my xd9, but it did not have adjustable sights and I was lucky to hit the 8" target 1 out of 20 times at 25 yards(really shot up my target frame). Then I got a kimber 1911 stainless TLE II RL and put on a jpoint rear sight and then I could hit the target 24 out of 25 times at 25 yards. I probably have the most fun with my beretta neo 22lr. My blue blade runner looking gun. Put a red dot sight on that and it is zeroed in. Fun and cheap to shoot. Ammo prices have risen so much over the last few years, cannot afford to go shooting anymore, spending the money on the charger.
Nice Kimber, if you ever want to sell that one, let me know. I have a Kimber Ultra CDP Custom II with Crimson Trace laser grips on it. Best shooting subcompact I have ever fired. That's was the one I used for my concelaed carry when I was stationed in VA.
Just FYI--forgot to mention it earlier but if you didn't know, the Hawaii Historic Arms Association Gun and Knife Show is this weekend at the Blaisdell. Not always the greatest show, but I go to visit with some of the knifemakers I know. That's the reason I may have to miss the meet on Sunday.
