the trunk pop and the light could be the latch it self since the latch has to be open to triger the trunk light but the third brake light has nothing to do with the latch SO my guess is there maybe some thing wrong with the trunk lid harness since all 3 problems are wired threw that one harness. as far as having to slam the trunk to close/that is just a misadjusted latch striker
