i was just wondering what the disadvantages were to buying no brand knock off lowering springs. I know eibach is what i should get, but run for around $300 and im looking for something in the 100-200 range. For many products there are knock off brands that are usually the same quality as the more known brands and im just wondering if that exists for springs. I dont want my car to suffer at all either of course. Also is the installation at all a diy project or should i pay someone to do it? i have a 14 r/t if that matters. thanks

I bought no name springs for my last charger. And I also did it myself in my garage (huge pita but worth saving the cash) my brother in law has the car and they are still fine 3 years later. Purple eBay springs.

Better than "Mystery Springs," about which you have no clue regarding manufacturing quality, look for some take-off OEM SRT springs that come up for sale in the classifieds from time-to-time. These will lower your car about 1" and you'll have some comfort about the quality.

You need to check to see if your R/T has Nivomat self-leveling shocks in the rear. If you do, they will need to be replaced.

This can be a DIY job provided you have the necessary tools, some mechanical experience, and preferably someone to assist. If you're a complete novice, I wouldn't recommend it.
