I had my exhaust done from the X-Pipe back at Lou's Exhaust in North Reading recently. I was able to wait, watch, and minimally participate. These guys do a top of line job, and got it done in just a couple of hours. I had their signature SS turbo mufflers put in, and chose my tips from their large selection. It is nice to be free of the suitcase muffler and resonators. It sounds great. They have done a number of Chargers, the owner (who owns an SRT) and has tried numerous different systems to avoid the 4cyclinder drone, suggested the SS mufflers. I must admit, it sounds nice. All this for under 500. Great sound, great price. (Feels better at the pedal, boasting a better 0-60 as well.)

I had Lou's do one of my cars a couple of years ago with Flowmaster 50s and the full exhaust w/crossover. They did a great job.

Lou's

They lou's shop here in waltham always does a good job. I just went to the ctruzer speed shop last weekend and had the Blastin Bob's db kit installed. I love the sound of it, an because I still have the suitcase it's not a complete straight thought design. Spend the 1,000 on something else instead of a Cat back.

Second that one. I had them do some fabbing and welding on my exhaust a few months ago. It was only like a $200 job (not changing mufflers, just revising the crossover). Even though is was a small job, I was treated like every business SHOULD treat customers, and the workmanship was top notch.

The Waltham Lou's guys rock.

I've had some work done at the N. Reading location too, but the last thing I've had done there was having the first Blastin Bob's kit installed, which took a total of 35 minutes between me waiting for the car to go on the lift, the work being done, and the car being started and backed out of the shop.

The work they did was using a sawz-all to cut the OEM exhaust pipes, remove the stock resonators (one bolt per side and then transfer over a hanger), and then install the BB kit and tighten the 2 clamps.

Took them 15 minutes and they weren't rushing.

And they wanted to charge me $80

The boss said it was $40/side .... that was his explanation ... I still can't believe it ..... I ended up paying $50 and I think I'm done with that place ...

It seems that once he saw the Charger, he thought I was made out of money and was somehow gonna pay stupidly ... that's my belief anyway ...

i've worked with Lou's in Peabody and also had experiance with the boston location. i'd stay away from boston and stick with Peabody. Lou recently sold the peabody store to the kid that owned the NH store. I hear that the kid is good. the original Lou always hooked me up and i will miss doing business with him. i was actually the first with that setup. take care!

The business that's directly across the street from the Boston location houses one on my service customers, so I pass by there regularly. The only things that seem to go in and out of that one these days are some pretty ugly Ricers (and occasionally a nice import)

The shop is always a mess. I wouldn't go there either.
