I might be interested, especially if the diablo makes it in by then. I was just on the track last weekend in a nascar stock car, so this would pale in comparison, but still be fun.

GMGD - Your son is old enough to not use any kind of car seat, correct? The heat fried my brain at the track, and I'm drawing a blank. I ask because kids are not allowed on the track if any kind of car seat is required.

Yeh if I pay to run the track I will removed the seat and the wife and kid will take pictures, unless you mean I can even get in the door with a car seat:dead:

What are the requirments for the car seat? I have an 8 and a 10 year old. The 10 year old is fine just wondering about the 8 year old. If he can go I am in!!!!!

GENERAL RULES (From the TMS website)
  • NO ALCOHOL
  • All occupants in a car including the driver must wear a seat belt.
  • No drivers under the age of 18.
  • All occupants must be at least 6 years of age.
  • All occupants in a car must sign a waiver.
  • All legal guardians of minors must sign a separate waiver.
  • Motorcyclists must wear a helmet and must stay on the apron of the track.
  • No passing.
  • Single file only. (Please give 1 lap to get up to speed)
  • 75 mph maximum speed limit (if you cannot keep up with the car in front of you, please pull to the apron and the Texas Motor Speedway trail vehicles will put you at the back of the line.)
  • Follow the instructions of the Texas Motor Speedway trucks on the track.
  • If any vehicle in the group violates any of the safety procedures listed, the pace car will pull to the apron and bring the entire group to a stop. The violator will be pulled from the group and escorted from the track.
The 75mph is a "loose" rule. The trick it to lag back behind the car in front you throught the turns, then stand on it as you hit the straights. Get in with a group of high performance cars, or stage together with your friends so there are no clowns in your group. I have easily hit 110mph out there.

Do we want to meet somewhere ahead of time and grab some grub? Me and Dodge truck guys might meet up somewhere.

People from DodgeTalk are meeting at the Grapevine Hooters, then traveling out 114 straight out to the track.
