And wanted to say that DTD came in about $20 less expensive than the other online tire dealer. The list price at the other guys was less expensive,m but DTDs free shipping made the difference.

Thanks DTD.

I just put some G-Max tires on my car. Stayed with the stock size, (245/45/20), so far pretty happy with the performance. I haven't had a chance to really get it out and see how they handle, but like I said, good so far.

Bought my last 3 sets of tires from DTD. Simply awesome pricing and fantastic customer service.

Aware me on the G-Max though. Is this an all-season tire?

I know in the past you've had some high end ultra performance tires.

Yep, it's all season, and yes, I'll be giving up some performance edge. But given the age of the car, I'm not pushing her as hard as I used to, and I'm willing to trade a little of that to get the mobility in the snow and close to double the tire life. Not as good in snow as say the Blizzaks, but far better than the RSAs or any of the summer only tires.

Given your location seems like a decent compromise.

Looking forward to your review.

Cooper RS3-A all season. I'm running them and I'd give them :bigthumb::bigthumb: for traction and life. I've got about 5k miles on them and they still look new.

Highly recommend them. I got them for $680 mounted and balanced.

but the invos do come in 275.

Were you searching for 275/45? When you go up in width like that, you have to drop the aspect ratio to keep overall tire diameter the same. I know darn well the Ventus V12 Evo comes in 275, i just finished up a set of those not long ago.

You basic problem is that traction and treadlife are flipsides of the same coin. Having run maybe 6 or seven sets of timres through my 06, I'm here to tell you your odds of getting 30-35 K out of either the Invos or the Ventus is slim. More like low 20s, I would expect. Possible you get closer to 30, but I dont think probable. Both tires will do you better than the RSAs, if thats what you had. But you have to trade grip for lifespan.

Look at the RS3-S which are summer tires since you don't really need all season tires.

thanks for that

i was doing some further research
and i have read some great reviews about the michelin pilot super sports

how do these compare with the Cooper AS3

plus for the back i want to go with 285
since im going to get 20x10.5" rims for the rear
but i was playing around the tire calculator on your site
and 285 give speedo errors while the 275 is almost negligible

would a 275 mount on a 10.5"

what would be the correct aspect ratio/rear tire size for me
i couldnt find 285 size in cooper as3 on discount tire
