I was getting ready for a 300 mile road trip and my regular oil change was due for my 08 charger R/t awd. I stopped at a random shop and got an inspection and a $40 oil change. Two days later it won't accelerate and I have these 7 codes when I've had no issue prior. It did recently drop to below 0 degrees last night in new york...
Can someone please help me figure out what happened:
P0339 Dodge Crankshaft Position Sensor Intermittent
P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
P0642 Sensor Reference Voltage 'A' Circuit Low
P2122 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch 'D' Circuit Low
P2135 TPS Sensor Voltage Correlation DTC
P2072 OBD-II Trouble Code, Throttle Actuator - Chrysler
P2111-ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL - UNABLE TO CLOSE
Any help is appreciated please and thanks

I would check the wiring and see if there is a cut or plugs pulled loose etc. ;)

If it was fine yesterday there couldn't be something major right? It did drop to 0 degrees last night so cold and ice build up is possible. How bad of a repair is electrical damage like wiring ?
It is probably one thing that is causing all the others to trigger. Temperature could be an issue if there was water that got into a plug or a sensor and froze.

Not necessarily expensive but time consuming for sure. ;)

They said not the sensor and they need more time to find out what's wrong. Still Idles hard and stalls w no acceleration but they put 5w30 instead of 5w20 and said not to worry.

Help me help them to fix it lol
First thing to do is to have them put in the correct oil. There is a reason 5W20 is specified for your MDS engine.

I do not believe your oil change place did anything wrong on purpose, probably just a numb skull kid who pulled a wire or two loose by accident.

However, it would not be the first time that someone has sabotaged a car to make some quick cash. When my 68 Newport still belonged to my grandfather, he took it to a quick oil change place, who then proceeded to pull almost every wire they could get their hands on loose from the bottom of the dashboard, then claimed that it needed all kinds of new parts and that they would have to keep it over the weekend.

Very suspiciously, one of the "mechanics" had a 73 Roadrunner with a worn out engine. I think they were going to try to do an engine swap over the weekend, hoping that the hapless old man wouldn't know the difference. Anyway, my pop and I towed it home and found and fixed the damage they had caused.

Batmobilecharger,

I recommend taking your car to an authorized FCA dealership for a formal diagnosis. If you decide to do so or would like assistance in scheduling an appointment (plus, I can see if there is anything else I can do on my end), feel free to PM me your VIN and contact information. Either way, as Ddaddy pointed out, it's definitely important to ensure that the correct oil is being used.

Burning oil is a problem and codes might be related - or not.

The oil change place is liable for damages. You should never use them again though.

My father once used a quick change on his acura. Never burnt oil till the change. Thought something major was wrong. I changed the oil to spec and put in a good syn, problem went away.

If those codes are related to a bad burn you might be getting a lot of oil in their as blow by.

Dealer taking two weeks to inspect, funny, sorry to hear. Find someone to fix and bring bill back to oil change place. Get ready to take them to small claims court.

Well this isn't their fault, if it was me I might send you back to the place that caused this mess. It's a huge problem to fix someone else's work. Now if it's not fixed properly you'll be upset with them.

This is really on you for going to a quick change oil place. You should know better.
