Inner tie rod bellow leaking fluid
I've also seen this called the Steering Rack Bellows. Looks like a boot. Its full of grease of some kind, I assume power steering fluid?
This is a 2010 V6, 20k miles. We just took possession a few months ago after a death in the family and after sitting in my garage for all that time I decided to change the oil and drive it around a bit...while changing the oil I noticed the boot was covered in fluid.
I'm kind of a light weight when it comes to do it yourself projects compared to many of you but I can do the basics including things like wheel bearing replacements, brakes, belts.
Any advice on how to repair and how complicated a job this is and what it might cost to have it done professionally?
