What is the difference between the R/T and RT? My understanding is the RT refers to the Charger with a Hemi. Now I read there is an R/T package that you can purchase for the RT with 10 more HP and suspension upgrades. Stuff that apparently comes standard with the Daytona RT package.

When I try to price out an RT on the Dodge (and other websites) website it doesn't make reference to a seperate RT package for the RT Charger?

Its not available yet. From my understanding, the Daytona will come out with the package first then the R/T to follow. Personally, I'm not that upset that I dont have it. The only thing I would want is the firmer suspension and I want to know what the 9-land steering gear and Nivomat(TM) means. The self-leveling shocks wont be of any help if aftermarket struts are wanted. I wonder if the system would raise the vehicle if it was lowered. I wouldnt think so but who knows. The wider 18" wheels are also of no use if those are upgraded as well. Just some things to consider about the package. With some Eibachs, stiffer struts, rear sway bar, and some aluminum 20s, a standard R/T will handle well. If you plan to do the upgrades listed above then this package may be a waste of dinero.

Some info on the Novimat system. Seems its just an upgraded set of struts which control the leveling mechanically instead of electronically.

"This vehicle is available with either standard gascharged
shock absorbers or Nivomat™ load-leveling
shock absorbers for the rear suspension. Depending
on options, the load-leveling shock absorbers may
either be standard or optional equipment.
On the exterior, the load-leveling shock absorbers (1)
are larger in diameter than the standard shock absorbers.
Each load-leveling shock absorber is a self-leveling,
self-contained vehicle leveling system and shock
absorber combined. It does not require any external
compressor, hoses, or height leveling sensors. When
cargo or passengers are added, the load-leveling
shock absorbers use normal ride motions during driving,
even on smooth roads, to raise the rear of the
vehicle automatically to the unloaded (or curb) height.
When the load is removed, the vehicle maintains this
rear ride height."
