Please - I hope noone takes this as an insult in any way at all.

If everyone does not know or has not seen there is a SEARCH FUNCTION on this site. It's a pretty good search function at that. It's on the RED tool bar located towards the top of the page.

You can click it and type in a topic and all threads with that topic will populate in a list.

Also - Even better - you can click on the ADVANCED SEARCH feature and get very specific on what you are searching for. By who posted, date posted, etc.

I know it very easy just to start a new thread and ask your question, but that will create a very cumbersome site with a bunch of threads about the same thing and with virtually the same content. Not to mention you won't get good quality answers sometimes due to people not wanting to answer the same questions over and over.

So please do yourself and all other members a favor by SEARCHING for your answer first. If you can't find it or need clarification then by all means ask as many questions as you like.

AGAIN - My aim here is not to discourage anyone from posting or to insult anyone, I just want this site to run efficiently and not have a lot of duplicate content/threads that can make for a very time consuming and frustrating experience.

 Thank you it is a good idea to put your new question at the end of a thread. The process of new thread is such a burden. To all members use all tools as the member suggests he has good points. I would never even think of posting any new thread without seeking first. There may be the occasion to post numerous threads if you are building a campaign about say members not getting the car, or raising money for the public radio station so we can keep classical music. This would be a time to start about 5 new threads within 30 min. Then you would generate many responses. Be carful this may be viewed as the same topic eventhough you were starting five threads about different topics.

I am happy to report that many threads are the same as many other threads and most times it is an unintentional error of not using the search.

If we did have an extra thread I don't care. How many other members don't care if we have an extra thread or two? Please post your reply. I await you. :monster:

MWC, well stated, and should be a sticky for newbies .... apparently some oldies that just don't get it.

It would be great to read one thread instead of trying to remember which chin spoiler or jet chip or hp calculations thread you had seen something on.

Kudos!...GLHS...can we sticky this and close it?

Unfortunately, the search engine is not the greatest when you need to search for...

mp3
tar
srt
rt
gt
mod
gsm
jet

...or any other <4 character word. It would be great if that limit were eliminated.

I know I've had a hard time searching for some things.
