First post for me although I have been reading almost every thread posted for the last week or two, as well as pm'ing some members who were buying or were car salesman.

Anyways, I started the buying process today and was quoted 29,400 for a 07 black R/T R&T right away, I told him that I was looking to get it out the door with TTL(CA :/) at around 29 and he said he could work with me, hopefully I have the charger tomorrow as he told me to stop buy. Was better than the first experience I had today with HB dodge as the guy basically told me that there was no chance and got angry that I was shopping around, I laughed and walked away.

Not to hijack the thread, but rather inform a potential buyer for that car, I have to say I wouldn't trust those guys, there's a reason they're prices are somewhat low. Here's why I say that; some good friends asked me to go checkout a Lexus LS430 at that place several months ago. Well, when I got there, I went through the car, but didn't have to look very far to see the car was in poorer condition then stated (even through multiple phone converstaions and promises). All of the wheels were curbed badly, but the pics didn't show it (photoshop maybe). The right front was curbed all the way around. Above that the tires were almost bald. The paint was horrible, with scrapes and tree sap damable all over. And, I found damage that ran almost the full length of the left quarter panel. There's more, but you get the point. I don't what would be the deal with that Charger.

I agree, I was a car salesman and they have plenty of money in the vehicle+rebates+ hidden dealer "Pack" I can give EXCELLENT negotiating skills to anyone who is interested, it works EVERY time to get what you want when you want it, including haggling down the costs of extended warranties,etc. Just ask me or send a PM. My dad is still the GM of a large dealership, I simply called him up and asked whats dealer inv. for zip...xxx, get a price. Give me an estimate. Best bet is to purchase an invoice for the vehicle you want, this is where many make mistakes.. you HAVE to make sure you invoice the EXACT options of you will be WAY off. Bust the dealer in the chops, buying a car is an ALL day event unless you got peeps in the loop. Just ask me how and ill tell you. An '08 they may not do so much negotiation, but you can clean them on an '07... I PROMISE!!


Dealer holdback IS the "pack" some use different code names, we did. You should have no problem if negotiated properly walking out with dealer ONLY making holdback. 99% of the time they will NOT dip into that regardless.
