Hello I have an 06 dodge charger rt that is heavily moded, I want to get rid of the check engine light all together, how can I do this? And will it still pass inspection without the fuse or whatever it is I need to remove?
Thank you

You shouldn't do this - if there is an inspection to pass, it won't pass. Use electrical tape to block the light.

I know there are various ways of disabling sensors that you are probably tripping but I believe you will come back to the same problem of failing inspection. How are you passing with mods that trip the check engine light anyway? Unless you know a mechanic or put your car back to stock once a year you are usually out of luck.

Gladiator-
I did all the major work within the last few months. But in my theory I thought that it i were to disable the sensor completely then the computer cant throw any codes causing it to pass inspection, yes? Or am I wrong

I am pretty sure that if you go to get it inspected with the sensors disabled you will have a problem but don't take that as gospel since I have never had this problem. Did you install headers?

Even if you make the light go out, it will still show up when they plug into the car. The OBD II system can't be disabled and even if it could, you would still fail since they wouldn't be able to connect to it to get readings.

The real question is why the light is on? Did you disable the cats?
