I've modded quite a bit of it but am finally doing a new SRT8 style hood (See link). The link and videos I've seen say no hood pins needed but we all know after market parts can be sketchy and it would worry me that the hood could fly up.

My question is, for those who have done after market hoods. Have you had a problem with the hood flying up at higher speeds or a worry of that happening? And would you recommend hood pins even though the link says it doesn't need any?
I always lean toward better safe than sorry but in this case it includes drilling into the hood and car so.

Thanks for your guys help :)!

With any scoop style hood, I would run pins most definitely.
One should really run pins on any carbon or fiberglass hood though some may not. You may be able to get away with no pins on that hood but I would still run them if it were me.

My fiberglass hood on my challenger flexes a lot at speed even with pins. I would never run it with no pins.

I believe with any aftermarket hood it says to use pins.
