When shifting into reverse and then into drive there is a hesitation when you first start off. Has anyone experienced this?

A lot of the guys have talked about this. We have a member that is a MB mechanic. I think I remember him saying this was somthing normal. Just the electronics in the trans catching up to your shift. I am not a mech and do not know much about these transmissions but search the threads for some old discussions. I know we have all talked about this before.

Yeah, it happens. It's all computer controlled throttle and shifting, so ask your comp about it or just live with it. It's only a couple seconds...
