I have no idea how a kwp2000 is going to help you.

find a local dyno shop that has some experience with Dodge and Diablo tuner products.

See the pedals underneath the dash, there's one on the right and one on the left. The one on the right is called the money pedal. If you push the money pedal too hard after the turbo is installed before you get the engine tuned on the dyno, it will cost you a LOT of money as the engine goes kaboom.

Who doing the turbo install? They should know of a dyno shop.

Just a close friend of mine, he says he knows what he doing and it seems to be right so far, ive asked professionals and researched for months but for some dumb ass reason i was never concerned with the tune, i guess i thought it was optional, then last minute, nope..theres one dyno shop my friend knew of, i called yesterday, to get tuned is months behind schedule, so itll be aloooonnggg time, and theres another shop i know about that has a dyno, but they are still building, might be a few month, trying to find another dyno place around but not too much luck, plus since the turbo is being installed at home, is it safe to drive it to get tuned? And the kwp2000 said it tunes or remaps or flashes the ecu or whatever and that you can fine tune your ecu on the program and it hooks up from usb to obd2..only thing is from what i understand, u can upload a tune file already made but i cant find anything, and since it says u can fine tune i imagine you can create your own files, modify your boost, fuel intake, all that..but idk what to modify and what to modify it too, do you know if thats true though? You can just remap it?

First of all if you damage the engine because you had no tune in the first place no tune is going to fix it. In other words don't drive it. Second had you gone to a vendor that sells kits and will send you a tune by email specifically for that kit and your car you would be golden as you would never have been in this spot in the first place. What you need now is to go to a performance shop that will take your car and sort this mess out for you which you seem to know. I would say your friend is pretty suspect for "knowing" how to install a turbo kit but not having any idea that you just might need a tune or at least mention to you before you started hey we can't drive this thing unless we have it dyno tuned. If your only option is to wait for months then you might want to pull the kit off your car, make an appointment at that shop and then do the mods again. I am no expert but you seem in over your head. I don't say that to be a jerk. Everyone learns this stuff somehow but you need to take a step back and look at this objectively. Your buddy messed up a bit and now you don't have a car. That is your first problem you need to solve.

Another potential option.

Contact Johan at Diablo and ask if he can do a "safe" tune until you can get on a dyno.

I'm also disturbed that your friend is in over his head too.

Yea i appreciate, yea i mean he said well have to tune it but acted like it wasnt a problem like he could handle it so i spent thousands gettin what he said, and now, he wont say it but it seems like hes unsure about the tune, i got the kwp2000 laptop program and he says he can "fine tune" it with that, is that even possible? But then i feel like hes unsure cuz he said try to find the tune file, or at least a supercharger tune for him to build off and change a few things too..so remapping with kwp2000 wont work? I figure u gotta change the fuel, timing, other stuff, and the srt4 injectors and everything else.ill try to find another dyno shop but after cutting exhaust and all that stuff i really wanna try to not have to redo everything, i wonder if the diablo guy can sell me a tune even though my tunerisnt a diablosport

I don't think I've ever heard of the KWP2000 in relation to tuning a modern (2006+) Charger. According to their website (assuming this is their website http://www.kwp2000.info) they don't list our cars on their compatible vehicles list.

I strongly suggest you look into Diablosport tuner (Predator, Trinity, or inTune) and get a custom tune. As mentioned above, you might be able to get Diablotoona (Johan) to do an email tune that will work as a baseline to let you limp along.

In VA you have Dyno Tuned Performance or Arrington......Arrington is closer to Winchester. Both are very capable of tuning your car. If you want to travel a little OST Dyno is out near Pittsburgh PA.

Exactly, now me the painter but non mechanic has to find a way to help the oh so great me hanic friend..i just wish he wouldve been honest from the start wouldve made it easier
So I am assuming you paid him to do this ? A question I would have asked him first is, has he done this before (installed turbo and tuned a vehicle with a laptop), and if you could have talked to this person/persons for a reference and to see how he did.

Trust, but verify, 3 little words to live by. But as you said you made a mistake, "so now you know (and as the old saying goes) and knowing is half the battle".
