Help anybody, everybody or just somebody! I purchased new pistons and seals to replace/repair my front calipers. I removed the caliper and brake line. I used compressed air in the caliper but the seized pistons wont budge! I was told to put the caliper back on and use the brake pedal to force those 2 pistons out.
-Problem 1, when I put everything back together to attempt to use the brake pedal to move the pistons, I get a leak from where the brake line screws into the caliper. (I had to go get another bolt because I snapped the first one trying to tighten it until it would stop...no luck). It continues to leak and I HAVE NO PRESSURE ON THE PEDAL!
Problem 2, I am doing this by myself, (I had to take off work because I cant drive)
What do I need to do......Wife's not happy right now!

sorry should have stated this first...2006 Charger SRT 8 (original owner)

It sounds like you are doing it right. I've kept the caliper on the rotor but removed one of the pads from the opposite side of the stuck piston. Then pump the brakes until you hear that piston creak out of there. I'm not sure how to fix your leak though. Are you positive it's coming from the tap at the caliper? The line itself is still good?

ugh.....I got the leak fixed, I had one of the washers backwards.....
I put everything back together so I could try using the pedal pressure...but now I get very little brake pressure.....actually only the rear brakes are working now so I cant really drive.....not to mention I snapped a bleeder screw.....the opposite side to the seized one....gonna take I to the shop and have them bleed the brakes and replace screw.......then hopefully?????

Had the brakes bled and pressure restored...came home and removed pad on the seized side (now moving but very slow) replaced with thick cardboard and slowlyly pumped brakes until the piston was 3/4 way out. Removed brake line and caliper, cleaned it all and put in new hardware. Put it all back together and tested...all is good now.
