Fog lights you have to pull back the liner in the wheel well there's a thread around here somewhere with pictorial instructions. The pass side headlight is easy from engine compartment but the drivers side will be a little more difficult because of the intake box being right there. Worst case removing that isn't overly difficult.

actually I have the exact same question. I got a set of Philips Xtreme Vision bulbs in H11 for low. I opened the hood up the other day and I cannot see how one can reach into the very corner of the engine bay, twist the bulb loose, disconnect the lamp from the wiring harness, replace the bulb, reconnect the harness plug, and replug in the whole thing with a normal size hand, all that single handedly.

The high beams are doable, but the driver side still requires taking off the airbox.

Since these cars have been out for 4 MYs someone must have changed their low beam bulbs, did anyone do it without taking off the bumper cover and unbolt the headlamps assembly's?

No, headlight/parking light bulbs are replaced via the engine compartment, with fogs you have to remove the bottom panel under the car I believe.

Hi,

has either of you changed the low beam bulbs? I did the high beams before but that was easier since they are closer to the center but the driver side did require moving the airbox, but I am intrigued how you were able to deal with the low beams without removing the bumper cover.

Thanks!

Yeah I changed the low beams, it requires a bit of a reach and contorting your hand and wrist a bit but it is possible.

did you use one hand only? the hardest part I can envision is disconnecting the H11 connecter from the old bulb and connecting the new one, all that without touching the glass with your finger....

"Contorting" seems to be really apt here, lol.

No you can hole the connector with one hand and plug the bulb in with the other. Should be enough slack there to get it done but for sure you need to take the air box out.

well I tried again today and it worked. The passenger side I had to reach in with my left hand upside down but it did get to it. the driver side ironically once you take the airbox out there was actually more room to work with.

Thanks!

Anyone on accident drop the bulb and assembly? I was trying to contort my hand in there to screw it back in and lost the grip and dropped it. I can feel it down in the headlamp compartment but my hand can't go any farther to grab it. Any suggestions?

If you can feel it, you can wrap what you're feeling it with in masking tape with the sticky side out to grab it. Make sure to clean it really well with 91 percent alcohol before installing it.
