Anyone know of a easy spot to hardwire a radar detector to If my car does not have the u-connect mirror to tap into the power?

here is what a member here a long while back did, can't remember the link so here it is as I saved the info.

0. Unhook negative battery cable!
...and leave for 2 minutes before starting. This will make sure the airbags are disabled.
1. Remove the overhead console.
a) wash hands and finger tips.
b) slowly work your finger tips under the rear (back of car is rear) edge of the overhead console. Pulling down slightly while doing this should disengage the clips.
c) slowly work your finger tips under sides, in the middle, until the two clips on the sides release.
2. Release the more wire.
Unclip the wire from its restraint. This allows more wire to work with.
3. Open the harness covering.
Carefully cut the harness wrapping to make a large enough whole to access the wires.
4. Tap the ACC power and Ground wires.
The ACC power is PINK stripe.
The Ground wire is Black with a Green stripe.
Here's the Pin out

5. Rewrap wiring harness at tap
Wrap the factory harness opening with electrical tap.
6. Route newly attached wires.
There is an opening in the headliner over the rearview mount that allows the wires to come through.
7. Hide excess wire
Put the wiring harness and new wire back into it's restraint and make sure it is out of the way for the console fit.
8. Reattach the overhead console
Press the console at the rear and sides until the clips re-engage.
