How quiet is the ride at about 70 on these wheels? i already ordered them with AR Phantoms. i was just curious about the ride. Anyone with any input? here are the dimensions. 255-45-20.

I have a set which I put on about a month ago, same size, also through Discount Tire. I had the Nitto Invo tires on before this. I like them so far. Good as far as grip and cornering. They are a bit noisier than the Nittos and the ride is a bit rougher, but not enough to make me regret that I bought them.

maybe after another week of breaking them in they'll be good. oh well i just hope they will be a bit better than the goodyear integritys that i currently have on my stock 17's. Most say that an upgrade in size will result in more noise and a rougher ride though. i guess ill have to experience it first hand. I think the Phantoms will make up for most of that. :beerchug:
It's just a matter of getting used to it. I only got 9,000 out of the stock Goodyears and they sucked. I got about 18,000 out of the Nittos. Jury is still out on these. Good luck.
I have a set that I've put about 3k miles on now. I really like them. MUCH better then the stock Goodyear RSA I had. Mine are the same size, but that size is stock for mine, so I can't comment on upsizing issues. Both ride and noise are fine for me. I have no complaints at all.
All tires have some give and take, not every tire is good for everyone. The more targeted a tire is for a particular application the more it gives up in other attributes. In this case The Evo 12 is designed to be a very responsive, high performance tire. To achieve this Hankook wrapped a sticky rubber compound around a carcass built to handle extreme forces. This carcass needed to be strong in order to bounce back from the limits to which it would be pushed and the sidewalls in particular needed to be tuff. With this strong carcass this tire is able to be pushed harder than average. Street performance is quick and responsive. When it comes to comfort. This tire won't be the best but it won't be the worst either.

My advice to those in market for new tires is to decide what you want in a tire and find the tire that best fits these needs.

If you would like help with a recommendation please let us know. We would be happy to assist you.
I just got my Falken 452's installed yesterday...I bought size 255/45-20 thru Discount Tire Direct.

Awesome tire, and very pleased w/ there response...It rained all day yesterday, so I had a chance to see how they performed on wet roads. Great grip and handling.

Go with 255/45-20!
