Since I had the gauge pod out and apart to scuff up the chrome trim, I decided to add a touch of sump'n-sump'n to the guages.

Here's what I got so far....

1st 2 in daylight or with flash, the last was night without flash.

It's a far cry from the green steering wheel controls, but not quite as blue as I was trying for, maybe I can 'double up' the overlay to make it a darker blue.

I'll definitely give that a try.

I like the look. I would like to try and put a red overlay on, but I'm not sure how the odmeter numbers would look. Subscribed.

This overlay is a 'home made' version that lays over the clear gauce lens rather than on the face of the gauges.

This approach does 3 things better than the gauge face method IMO,
1- it also colors the white ring surrounding the gauge face
2- it makes the entire gauge, including the round part on the needles, one color
3- no needle removal required.

BTW, it also beats the other method on price. I used a blue PVC sheet from a hobby store that cost less than $3 per 11x7 sheet. (it took 2 to cover the entire area.)
