Fuel filter

So I assume if we loose fuel pressure,.one reason could be a clogged filter
That's one reason ... it could also be the fuel pressure regulator. The earlier LX Dodge Chargers (2006 - 2010?) have the fuel pressure regulator attached to the auxiliary fuel pump module. You pull the fuel pump from the tank and the fuel pressure regulator can be removed/replaced. I'm not sure the last model year that had a removable fuel pressure regulator.
With the later LD Dodge Chargers (2011 - current) the fuel pressure regulator is integrated with the auxiliary fuel pump module and is not serviced separately. The auxiliary fuel pump module must be replaced if the fuel pressure regulator is to be replaced.

So you would think this makes the service for LD Chargers simpler ... low fuel pressure ... replace the auxiliary fuel pump. Not so fast. The fuel pressure regulator is integrated with the auxiliary fuel pump module but the fuel filter is located at the bottom of the main fuel pump module.

So which fuel pump do you replace? Simple ... you replace both fuel pumps.
