The instructions for the front air dam show some kind of tool you use for the plastic pop rivits or whatever they're called.
Is that tool only available though dodge or would my local parts store have it?
thanks

don't need a special tool...you can use a channel lock on those tips...hold the other part of the plastic piece (the lip part) against the air damn with your fingers (hold tight) and pull with the channel locks...worked like a charm and then just break off the rest of the plastic piece.... don't waste money on this "special tool".

Did mine last Saturday with zip screws (self drilling, 1/4 inch head, sheet metal 1/2 inches long), work like a charm through the spoiler and the body.
GoDaddy, Did you drop the chin spoiler 10 mm below the opening like the instructions show or did you make the top of the spoiler even with the bottom of the opening, I had my son hold it in both positions and I liked it better when even with the bottom of the opening.

its more like 5 mm....i couldn't get it to sit right at the edge and hold everything. didn't have enough hands. i had looked at different angles and liked it about where i placed it. i couldn't get the sides to sit right with the lip lined up even with the opening. shoot a pic i want to see how it came out rdbrt.

Has anyone else found an easier way to install this? I like the self tapping screw method. It seems to be the most "user friendly" way to install it if you don't have the little tool for the plastic rivets. What does it look like underneath? Are there factory holes in the chin spoiler already to use as guides, or do you drill thru both pieces where ever you need to? Does anyone have any pics or easy "alternate" instructions?

Tom.

I used two sided tape to hold mine in place then used screws to attach. The holes are pre-drilled in the spoiler.

I took the front facia off to install the hexagin grill. While I had it off I installed the airdam. Mad it a lot easier to line things up. I mounted mine flush with the lower nose. Bought a plastic rivit setter on line for $16.00 (http://blindrivetsupply.com/detail.aspx?ID=605). The airdam comes with pre-drilled holes.
