I'm a life-long car enthusiast. First started just looking at the typical Hot Rod, MotorTrend, etc... magazines in middle school and high school. Went off to college and borrowed my parents' jeep while I was down there. Then when I got out of college, my uncle sold me his 2010 G37 coupe. Phenomenal car, until someone rammed into it while it was parked and totalled it........ I used the money insurance gave me to get a 2011 G37 sedan, and I've been driving that for about 2.5 years. The coupe was definitely the better car, but I made the best of it.
Now I have a 3rd child on the way and need a car that can fit 3 car seats, and the Charger is on the short list of sedans that can fit 3 car seats in the back (legally) as there's a full 3 set of hooks. I've always liked chargers, and have been interested in getting one for several years now. I am in the process of buying a 2013 Charger 5.7L police car. All the lights and antennas have been removed and holes filled and repainted. Meticulous maintenance records, and all the major things that you need to look out for with long idle times have been serviced pretty recently. I am very excited to be a member of the Mopar gang very soon!

Welcome to the forum!
My wife had a G37 coupe for a while, great car, but I think that you’ll enjoy the Charger.

Three car seats, god bless you!
Welcome to the forum.

When I think of a car enthusiast I think of someone that’s held a crankshaft and some pistons and rods in their hands and bolted them onto a block.

Nah, I feel that there are different levels. Just because you’re not a “gearhead” doesn’t mean that you’re not into cars. I can dabble mechanically and as long as I have the tools, I can usually figure it out, or YouTube it. But I mainly just like cars, in general. To me, that’s an enthusiast as well.

Welcome! Definitely one reason I like the chargers other than being 6’4 and being able to sit comfortably with people behind me I can fit 3 seats in the back seat and not be in the dashboard. Did not know it had 3 sets of hooks though interesting. I’d double check the pursuit has the 3 hooks as most of the time they just throw a bench seat in when it’s out of commission

That would be a mechanic, not just an enthusiast lol Not to say there's any shortage of enthusiasts that are capable of that though. Some of us just don't have the time or know-how to do major engine work like that. Plus I've simply just never had to. I plan to change that eventually though.

I checked the first time I went to look at it, the rear seat does indeed have the 3 sets of hooks. So I'm good to go there. Just waiting on the bank to come through.

Ok good. I just know the pursuits throw a bench seat back in wasn’t sure if it still came with the hooks. I never even looked to see if mine had all 3 I hope it does. Would be an extra positive lmao

Thank you. I'm at that awkward stage of my life where if I were single, I'd probably be one of the top gear heads around. Wrenching on it every day and modifying the heck out of whatever I was driving. But alas, I am married with two kids and a third on the way. I simply don't have time to wrench every day, nor do I have money to spend on the car other than when parts need to be replaced. In which case, I always get better parts than OEM so I'm modding the car in some way. Hands down I always do exhaust, after that it's just what we can afford.
