are you going to replace the cats with straight pipe? reason I ask is its a wierd size that I dont think esh has. when i took my mag srt8 there they didnt have the 2.75" stock size piping.

well, I guess I have to pull them out of my storage closet. just let me know when you want em. you should have told me sooner as I coulda put them in your car while it was at the dealer today for service.....yes, I saw your car there when I went to pick up my parts.:bigthumb:
lol... yep, I did leave my car there today. Right after I took delivery of my Charger the AC Fan knob lost it's detents so the knob would just spin freely. I had them replace the whole assembly for AC control. Works like a champ now. :)

I'm not sure what pipe sizes they have in stock at ESH. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I'm thinking they'll be able to manage the install one way or another. If all else fails they could always fab a catless mid I'm guessing.

I was thinking of having them put thermal tape on the mids to reduce heat under my floorboard and maybe even deaden a little of the drone in the cabin. Anyone got any experience with thermal tape?

if they are going to fab a custom mid for you, you might still need the srt mids just for the connector section that connects to the header, as I think i read somewhere that you cant use the 5.7 one as it dosent fit. I think this is why some guys just gut out the cat. oh well, I guess you'll find everything out soon enough!

All right Alpha, I'm ready to pick up those headers and mids from you. Let me know when/where. I'll probably bring one of my other cars so haul it all home.

Speaking of exhausts... I stopped by to check out nessnkelcharger's Charger while it was in for paint over at Britt's Autobody. While I was there Britt fired up the engine because he was so impressed with the sound of the exhaust. And when he cranked it up... WOW! Man does this thing sound beastly! Judging from nessnkelcharger's sig he's got a full SLP setup; longtube headers and a full SLP LM1 catback. I'm also a really big fan of the SLP tips. I'm not sure if he's running the stock X-pipe or not. Whatever he's got under there... I WANT IT! That is exactly how I want my car to sound.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not have an endless financial resource. As a matter of fact the treasurer has been monitoring my mod budget lately. So, for now I'll settle with the cheaper version consisting of my Flowmaster 40's and the soon to be added SRT headers and midpipes minus cats. I'm still waiting for my EGR delete kit to arrive so it will probably be a week or so before I can get everything installed.

I am totally undecided now. After hearing that SLP setup I am hooked on that sound. Now I don't know if I should go ahead with the SRT header project or just save my pennies for a complete exhaust upgrade to SLP. I figure, why pay for two installs? I know that if I install the SRT headers and keep the Flow40s I'm going to constantly keep thinking about the SLP setup and I'll never be satisfied until I go SLP.

I'm sorry Alpha, but I think I might have to hold off for now until I make up my mind.

LOL, no problem. I totally understand about the two install thing, it costs alot and takes alot of time. if you change your mind I should still have em unless someone offers me enough money to ship them somehwere.

I called Ron's Performance today to get a price for an install of my SLP Underdrive Pulley. They told me they'd do it... for $600! I was like.. WTH? I could probably get an engine swap for that?

I heard that the pulley is a simple job that you could probably do yourself in a few hours.

Sounds like a Install party!

I'd be willing to try doing it myself but I've never had my front fascia off and I don't have a grinder for grinding down the washer used for pressing the new pulley into place. If one or two of you guys is willing to lend a hand I'm willing to give it a shot.

I think I'm more concerned with taking off the front fascia. I'm afraid I'm going to break something. I tend to be a gorilla at times.

I just installed the EGR delete. It was pretty easy. One bolt was a little hard to get at especially with a hot engine, OUCH! I turned off the EGR with the Predator and started her up. No codes so I guess everything is good. I haven't left the driveway with her yet though.

Speaking of codes... I did my last oil change myself. I keep getting the "Oil Change Required, See Dealership" message on the EVIC. I thought the Predator would clear that. What am I missing?
