Yesterday morning my phone rang. It was Matson. "Sir, your car is ready for pick up."
 :rocker:  :alfdance: :rocker:

Below is my first glance of her!

Wow! She actually looks a lot better in person than she did on the internet!
She had a layer of dirt on her from the voyage but this car looked totally
awesome! This is the first time I've seen this car since it had to be shipped
to Hawaii from Washington. I decided to give her the once-around.

Man! I was very pleased with my purchase! I checked up the inspection,
went inside and signed her out and then we were off! Prior to ordering my
Charger I was told that the navigation feature would not work in Hawaii. I
ordered it anyway. On my way out of the shipping dock and pulled over and
punched a few buttons on my dash and viole! NAVIGATION! I am very
pleased to announce that the nav unit works like a charm! Unfortunately, the
Sirius radio does not. Oh well.

While the stock exhaust sounded o.k. coming out of the docks it was far from
the way I wanted my HEMI to vocalize. We left the dock for a tank of 92
octane and then went straight to Exhaust Systems Hawaii for some new pipes!
Inside I met up with Roland. I had planned on installing a cat-back Super 44
system with 2.5" pipe and reso-delete. Roland recommended to go with the
Super 40s instead. He explained that the Super 44 often have a high pitched
wine at certain RPMs that has caused a few complaints. Roland went on to
explain that the 4" body Super 44s will provide less flow than the 5" Super 40
s and that with the HEMI I'd be better off with the increased flow. Roland
assured me that if he was installing on his Charger he'd go with the Super 40
s over the Super 44s. Since he spends at least 40 hours a week installing and
listening to exhaust systems I took his advice and went with the Super 40s.

Here we see the stock exhaust.

This one is a little blurry. I guess I was nervous.

Out with the old, in with the new!

And here we have the new installation all painted up and ready to rock! :rocker:

And a view with her back on terra firma. The tips are a little sedate but a
nice improvement over stock.

From here I drove her home to show the wife and wash off the grime! :driving:
Tomorrow she'll get properly registered and maybe tint! I've got a few more
mods on the to-do list. I'll keep you guys posted.

I am totally jazzed for this car! :rocker:

Awesome Ride! I am right up the street in temple Valley. Your piers must be very jealous. I hear all the charger cops want the Road & Track but they are hard to find. At least that is what they tell me when I bump into them and they see mine with out the sunroof.

Hope to see you around town. I run a 07 Black Road & Track but changed all the accents to Yellow instead or red. I will be sure to keep an eye out 4 ya!
go fly past him so he can make sure the lazer is working! ;) it needs to be charger calibrated!!!! nah nah
Now that is funny!
How is the drone on your exhaust set up. Is it wife worthy or just a little to much. I figure you are in your charger more than most of us and would have a solid opinion on your set up by now.

Thanks,
Well I had my first Five Oh encounter.

Thanks for letting me hear it at WOT. That was me you blew bye on Haiku. I have to agree it sounds mean. I wanted to chase you for a longer listen but figured it was not the best idea! :) I hope you were not on your way to something dangerous.

Thanks for keeping the peace.
A friend at work was recommending JBA headers but I don't see any LTs for Chargers available from JBA. I was leaning toward the Mopar since they aren't suppose to cause any codes. They look to be as good as any other LTs.

It looks like Hotchkis sways will be the next item on the menu. I had a bit of a dog-n-rabbit incident last night. An Integra with some sort of imported "R" engine tried to get away from me. He ended up with a cool set of linked bracelettes.

We were on some back roads in the country which were curvy and narrow. He would move away on the turns but on the straights I'd make up ground. He eventually lost it on a turn and ended up with his nose in a position that he would have had to reverse out of and then end up on a dead-end road. :slap: No damage, no injuries.

I passed a black RT with a special plate starting with "C" last night in Kaneohe next to the mall at about 10:30pm. I hit WOT and whipped past him on my way to a call. I was wondering if it was anyone from here.
Man what a night, I am glad it all ended well.

That was me by the mall. I wish my windows would have been down but it still sounded awesome.

I hear that Kooks LT's are decent too. But That is just what I read on the forums. But, you can not go wrong with the sways.

I guess all I can really say is nice to hear ya! :) instead of Nice to meet ya. LOL
And if any of you see me somewhere, don't hesitate to stop by and say hello. :beerchug:
You got it! If I ever see ya chilling I will be sure to stop and talk story.
Wow Looking good.
Yo Five-oh, Was that you last night on Haiku, I pulled over thought you would recognize me and pull over too. I was going to follow you but figured probably not the smartest thing to do if you did not know who I was. :) Plus I could not tell if it was Steel Blue or Brilliant Black.
Nope... wasn't me. I just got back from LA. I think I start back to work tomorrow night. I'll look for you in my usual place.
I guess it was a good decision not to give chase.:driving:

Hope the trip was a blast!
I am in to hang out and help play with the Lx.
Sweet this is going to be fun. I have a Mopower Deep Dish Grill on the way. Would have been fun to do this the same day. But a miracle happened and I have to take advantage of it. You can all tell me if it is a miracle or not.

So, I order the grill and am talking about it non stop. Then the other day the wife goes are you going to put it in yourself. I said yes and it is going to be fun and scary at the same time because I have to take the whole front end off.

She replies "can I help". I can be your tool girl. I was like Holy SH!T are you serious.

I think it is a miracle. Only thing she has done with the car since we got is has rode in it or driven it.

Long story short the misses and I will be putting in the grill together. I sure hope she has fun.
I dont care who you are, that is SEXY!!
:rocker: :rocker: Your funny
My wife would be to afraid to breaking a nail or getting dirty. She's pretty much a foo-foo bunny. But that's okay! ;)
Thats the way she is too. Thats why I was so amazed. Thanks for the tips. I already got her a gab the bull by the horns T-shirt!
Got it all from HERE. I'll post here when the package arrives. We'll set something up for the install.
Sounds like a M&G with a mission to accomplish!!!
The wife and I will be putting in my new grill first thing in the morning. I might be able to stop by after and show it off!
I will keep an eye out to see if you guys do the install and might be able to stop by for a few.
would love to hang out but I will be working on Sunday. Kind of bummed too. all this rain today so I can not put the new grill in.. :(
Ouch... I hope it all works out for ya sooner than later.
I picked up the underhood parts from Windward Dodge today. All that's left if to get this thing painted and installed. I've been trying to squirrel away money it. One or two more special duty jobs and I'll be there. :bigthumb:
Sweet get to work then so we can see this in full effect.
Welcome back. All the best to you and your family. Never a fun thing to go through. Time makes everything better and it goes by with out our control.

Your hood will be painted soon and all the great memories of your brother will keep you happy for years to come.
