i don't know how it happened, but a few days ago my car was "broken" into. i went to the ward shopping center with my wife and one of her visiting friends. after shopping in the center we went to the theater to see a movie and when we returned i deactivated my car alarm and it gave me the double beep (meaning that the car was messed with while we were gone.) didn't think anything of it because i thought someone might have just bumped into it. the next day my wife was looking for her sun glasses and we realized that someone grabbed about $300 worth of sunglasses and a target bag with just two bikinies and two towels. don't know how they got into the car, there appears to be no damage done to my car, so i don't really know how he got in.

go get 'em!

I haven't even been back to Ward Warehouse since then...I called the property owners to complain that the security they hired is worthless and they need to improve in that area.

If I go downtown at all now I use the valets too, guess I would rather trust them than everyone else.

Ward Warehouse is owned by General Growth, which filed for bankruptcy. No money to spend on security, when you cannot pay your mortgage.

Valet is always a safer choice, but never leave valuables in your vehicle. If the valets take something, it's your word against theirs that the missing item was there in the first place and stolen. Burden of proof is on you to prove that it was there and whom took it. The valets do not have to prove they did not take it.
Ouch...never knew that. I guess innocent until proven guilty actually applies here.
