so i posted this question in Exterior Discussion but got no replies so far, maybe i can get more help here. If i order one of your hoods can i just install it and drive with it untill im ready to get it painted or should i wait untill i can take it to a body shop for prep and paint first? Thanks for the help.

I have a TruFiber 3" cowl hood and I drove it around for a few months before I primed it black. These hoods come to you in white. Thats the gel coat.

so did you sand off the gel coat and prime or just spray the prime over the gel coat?

bump. so do i need to sand off the gel coat or just primer over it?

I just scuffed it and primed.
